Regardless of this genetic predisposition for healthy ageing, lifestyle choices and environments factors influence the degree to which this genetic predisposition is triggers. For example: A person who has agenetic predisposition for diabetes type 2 does not necesarily get this disease, the person is simply more susceptible to developing it, depending on lifestyle choices.
Lifestyle choices, how healthy we eat, how much we exercise, how much stress we experience, as well as how healthy the environment is we live in, are factors that influence thew degree to which we age healthy.
The challenge is to grow older in a healthy and active way. Maintaining a good health well beyond pensionage greatly enhances overall well being, as well as labor participation, informal care capacity and other significant contributions to society.
Healthy Ageing is greatly into your hands, and for example by doing CrossFit, which is all about Healthy Ageing, and by practicing a positive mindset, you can improve the quality of life for as long as possible.
